Youth Summer Classes 2026

Registration is now open. We appreciate your patience as we transition to our new website and membership/registration system. Please read the following carefully.

Registration this year will look a little different as we shift to a new website and registration system. Please give yourself a little extra time to learn how the system works and reach out to edco@kcclayguild.org if you have any questions.

We offer 3 wheel throwing and 3 handbuilding each week.

Classes are 1.5 hours, a slightly shorter class is typically better for younger students.

Students may take only one handbuilding class and one wheel throwing class per Summer.

Class sizes are capped at 8 students to ensure the best teacher/student ratio.

We can not offer make-up classes; avoid signing your kids up for a class if they will not be able to attend all 5 days.

Kids must attend the same class time each day. For example, if they are signed up for "Week one, Session 2, Handbuilding" they must attend that class time each day.

We can no longer allow students to stay in the building between classes - a student could take both wheel throwing and handbuilding in the same week, but the student would need to be picked up between classes.

If your child has any specific needs or accommodations please reach out to us ahead of time.

Wheel throwing is open to children 8-13, handbuilding is open to children 6-13.

Classes are $100 for members and $120 for non-members. This covers all 5 days of class plus supplies.

Classes will meet at the following times each week.

Wheel Throwing or Handbuilding Session 1: 8:30am-10am

Wheel Throwing or Handbuilding Session 2: 10:30am-12pm

Wheel Throwing or Handbuilding Session 3: 1pm-2:30pm

Parents and Guardians! Registration this year will take place on our new registration system, Approach. You'll be the first to use it. It works a little different than our current website, so please take a little extra time and care when registering your kids. Reach out to edco@kcclayguild.org if you run into any trouble.

A couple important things to note:

Parents or guardians must make a profile for themselves, then add their children as "household members." We have not moved our current list of contacts to the new system yet, so even if you are a current member, you'll need to make a new profile.
Be sure to fill out each child's ENTIRE profile, including adding YOUR email address, even if it's the same information you entered on your own profile. If you don't, you'll miss important reminders about the class.
Each ticket must be assigned to a household member. Tickets can only be assigned to kids who are the appropriate age (6-13 for handbuilding, 8-13 for wheel throwing)
